Black Voters Matter Campaigns

Creative Producer

Throughout the summer of 2020 I was volunteering my time in the Pensacola region to document and share awareness of the local George Floyd protests.

Pensacola Florida was in a unique position within the context of changes happening around the United States in that many of the events and organization did not have an avenue to attract and educate people coming out for change.

Over the course of a year I volunteered directly with the Black Voters Matter organization to produce dynamic images and videos that could be shared on social media to not only encourage participation at local direct actions, but to also educate those in the region to what was taking place and tangible efforts they could take to make change.

These efforts lead to the development of a local community police oversight board, changes in local and state policies, and live portrait photography events that left participants with images they could use on their own social channels to highlight their individual involvement.
