In addition to building and maintaining a software portfolio, DiSTI's other half of revenue came from developing Virtual Maintenance Trainers (VMT).

These intricate training systems were often deployed on large 60+" touchscreens and could accurately render a complete vehicle/aircraft along with all of the 3D animations and interactivity to completely diagnose and fix almost any part of the craft. 

At the time I would look for training requests from the US Military, arrange for discussions with stake holders, work with small business development groups to direct the government appropriation money, arrange responses to requests for information, and put together a team to propose a niche solution to a complex problem. 

Within the course of a few years I managed to win competitive government contracts for multimillion dollar projects for the US Army, Army Reserves, US NAVY, and the Chilean Air Force.
